Kluska, meaning ‘dumpling’ in Polish, began as a small home-based business. After migrating to Australia in 1990, founder Barbara found her feet by returning to what she knows best: delicious Polish cuisine. Inspired by generations of Polish women in her family, who orally passed down their cooking secrets since 1830, Barbara began recreating those unforgettable flavours and textures. Thanks to Barbara’s longstanding passion for cooking, Kluska soon began receiving fast growing recognition from the media and customers from all of Victoria, who ventured out to try Kluska's delicious meals. Among the Polish specialities are the wide variety of handmade dumplings: pierogi, pyzy, kluski slaskie, pierogi leniwe and kopytka.
Barbara's philosophy and art of cooking reflect the proud traditions of her homeland: Poland, and are characterised by authentic, fresh ingredients, handmade dough and filling – all using traditional techniques of preparation.
Kluska strives to create a warm and comfortable environment, exceptional customer service and a ‘home away from home’ environment. As one of the most authentic Polish restaurants that you can find in Melbourne, the entire menu consists of traditional, homecooked Polish dishes – bringing Polish history, tradition and culture to your plate.
